Seismic sources Pike-5.45 and Pike-7.62 are designed for efficient generation of elastic waves in medium. They are used in engineering and geophysical surveys in logged areas, transition zones and water areas. A pulse from a source is generated by a shot of constructing and-mounting cartridges, which are available on the market. Energy-conversion efficiency of the source depends on the cartridge type used (2.7–4 kJ). Sources of the Pike series are made from a durable and light titanium alloy that allows them to be robust and ergonomic in design with high reliability, ruggedness and low weight.
