The CSMx is a high-resolution continuous reading cesium magnetometer designed for airborne magnetic surveys on aircraft, helicopters and UAV solutions. It can also be used as a part of a multi-sensor land towed gradiometer. The CSMx could optionally include an ultra-portable built-in Larmor counter with RS-232 or CAN output.
The CSMx has the highest sensitivity of 600 fT/√Hz, widest 70° working zone, automatic hemisphere switching and the smallest heading error which is less than ±0.2 nT. Depending on the version, output signals are Larmor frequency, square wave signal, RS232, or CAN output. The total weight of the sensor together with electronics unit is 950 g only, and the power consumption is less than 5.2W at 20°C. All these characteristics make the CSMx an ideal choice for large scale airborne magnetic surveys, precise gradient measurements on small baselines and all UAV applications.
The CSMx sensor is supplied in the following modifications:
All versions above offer full sensitivity performance. Any model can be supplied in an “Easy Export” version which has a reduced sensitivity of 0.02 nT/√Hz to eliminate the need of obtaining an export license before shipping. These versions are identified by the additional index “EE”: CSMx-LEE, CSMx-LREE, CSMx-LCEE.
The CSMx-LR and CSMx-LC outputs data at sample rate of up to 1280 Hz. Any CSMx could be used with a user-supplied Larmor frequency counter or a professional Data Acquisition & Adaptive Aeromagnetic Real-Time Compensator. The sensor and electronics unit are weatherproof, temperature-controlled and deliver full performance under extreme operating conditions. Sensitivity and heading error performance data are tested and provided for each CSMx sensor.
The CSMx can also be effectively used as an ultra-sensitive sensor for magnetic field measurements of electromagnetic field, because its bandwidth is in range 0 - 367 kHz.
